Majority of the foreign-based stars of the Ghana Under-23 team are ready to defy their clubs and stay in camp for next week’s All Africa Games qualifier against Nigeria.
Stand-in captain Samuel Inkoom’s side FC Dnipro began pre-season training on 13 June.
Midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Addo, Daniel Opare, Rabiu Mohammed and Mubarak Wakaso will join the squad in camp this week.
The match will be played on a non-Fifa approved date-9 July-where clubs are not obliged to release players.
Meanwhile Jordan Ayew, William Owusu Acheampong, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom and David Addy have been recalled by their clubs.
The Black Meteors need to overturn the 3-1 defeat and qualify for the finals in Maputo, Mozambique later this year.
