Spokesperson for the Abedi Ayew family and a freelance journalist, Fiifi Tackie says there has not been any official reason assigned for Andre Dede Ayew's exclusion from the Black Stars squad to face Sudan and Nigeria in the AFCON qualifier and international friendly respectively.
Many football fans were surprised after the squad list for the Black Stars for the upcoming double header with Sudan and Nigeria was released on Wednesday evening and without Andre Dede Ayew on the line-up.
Speaking on Asempa FM on Thursday, the aide-de-camp of the Abedi Ayew family stated that he had spoken with Dede Ayew and the player said he had not asked to be excused from duty.
Andre Dede Ayew scored a brace for Olympique Marseille in their UEFA Champions League match with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in France and Ghanaians were hoping to see him play for Ghana after missing the international friendly with Brazil.
