Ex-Hearts of Oak goal machine Ishmael Addo has tipped Emmanuel Baffour to smash his 11-year goal scoring record.
Addo scored 22 goals during the 2000/01 season, a figure it was felt would never be matched in recent times.
But after scoring 21 goals in the topflight this term with two games to spare Addo can see no reason why the former Liberty Professionals and Tema Youth attacker should not eventually become the most prolific player Edubiase have ever had.
“I am very happy that for a long time that someone is trying to get such number of goals in a season,” Addo told Radio XYZ
I am very happy for the guy. It boils down to talent and so when you have such talents no one can take it from you.
“One thing that made to shine was that aside the normal training with the whole team, I do my own training and that helped me to score more goals during my time at Hearts of Oak.
“I believe he is just a goal away from equaling the record and so I see no reason he can’t get it,”
