Uganda will wear black armands for the 2013 African Youth qualifier against Ghana in memory of ex-president Atta Mills who died on Tuesday.
The 68-year-old passed away at the 37 Military hospital in Accra after battling illness for months.
The Federation of Uganda Association President Lawence Mulindwa has given all -clear for the players to wear black armbands during the game on Saturay against the Black Satellites at the Nakivubo Stadium.
The Federation also issued a statement to mourn with the Ghanaian football fraternity on their loss of their leader.
�My office and the entire Ugandan football fraternity have learnt with shock the sudden death of your head of State, Mr. John Evans Atta Mills,� FUFA president Mulindwa said in a statement.
�As a football family in Uganda we join you in mourning a political leader who loved and served the game of football as well,�
�As an advocate for recreation, an active sportsman and sports fan, the deceased leaves behind a good record in his support towards the Ghanaian National Football team, the Hockey Association, the National Sport Council of Ghana, and Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club among other areas�.
The winner of the two-legged tie will either face Morocco or Gambia in September and October.
The finals of the 2013 African Youth Championship will be held in Algeria.
