Accra Hearts of Oak have lost interest in signing Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohamed after the Porcupine Warriors put a hefty GhC 80,000 ($42,000) price tag on the nimble footed midfielder who is now surplus to requirements in Kotoko.
Kotoko do not want to sell the boy to us, a management member of the Phobians, who pleaded anonymity told Goal.com Ghana. I heard Medeama and Ashgold are also after him that his why they are mentioning those huge figures.
Such things should not be done as we must put the boy first rather than relying on this old age Kotoko-Hearts rivalry. It is not done in Europe; you saw that Arsenal sold [Robin] Van Persie to Manchester.
We have no interest in him again unless Kotoko reduce the price, the management member added.
The former Tema Youth and OJ Nice player is desperate to leave the Ghana Glo Premier League after failing to cement a permanent place in the team and he is eyeing a move away from the club.
