Ghana's U-17 women's national team have been nominated by Caf for the 2012 Women’s National Team of the Year prize.
The Black Maidens, bronze medalist at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 face competition from African Women’s Champions, Equatorial Guinea Nigeria’s Super Falcons for the honours.
The feat by the Black Maidens is the furthest by any African side at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Caf announced the nominees for the rest of the categories for this year’s GLO-CAF Awards.
The winners for the year under review will be announced at the Caf-Glo awards gala at the Banquet Hall, State House, Accra on 20 December 2012.
