Ashantigold have appointed goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda as their new captain.
The experienced shot-stopper replaces Danies Asamoah who has been relieved off the armband in a major shake-up that has hit the playing body.
The 27-year-old has been assigned the duty of leading the team after a six-year spell at the club.
Dauda has been named in Ghanas provisional 26-man squad for next years Africa Cup of Nations after an impressive form at the Obuasi-based club.
He joined Ashantigold from Okwahu United in 2006 and has never looked back with consistent performances for the club.
Dauda was on the roster for the African Cup of Nations in 2008 as the third keeper.
