Ghanas 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Sudan next month will be played in Kumasi, MTNFootball.com understands.
The Baba Yara Stadium has been the home of the Black Stars for its international matches and the Ghana Football Association wants to stick to that tradition.
The last time Ghana played Sudan in Kumasi was in 2011 during a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier which ended 0-0.
Now head coach Kwesi Appiah was on the touch lines in a stop-gap capacity.
In June last year, Kwesi Appiah led a team which thrashed Lesotho 7-0 at the same venue in their opening Group D qualifier.
Ghana need a win to revive their campaign after falling three points behind leaders Zambia-who won a protest filed against Sudan for fielding an unqualified player.
Victory will also placate fans after a disappointing 2013 Nations Cup campaign.
