Accra Hearts of Oak progressed to the semi finals of the MTN FA Cup competition by beating Bibiani Gold Stars 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Hearts went ahead in 28minutes through a penalty converted by Gilbert Fiamenyo after Owusu Bempah was brought flying in the box.
Hearts hanged on to the lone goal lead despite creating several scoring chances which were blown away by Fiamenyo and Ashietey Ollenu.
With the game appearing to be heading to a lone win, Ollenu crafted a solo move which saw him weave through the defence of Gold Stars. With an empty net infront of him, he shot at the post; Bempeh was however well positioned to tap in from the rebound to send the Phobians surging.
