Midfielder Andre Ayew has been invited by the French Ligue 1 disciplinary committee over his savage tackle on Saint-Etienne�s Yohan Mollo last week.
The Olympique Marseille ace was only booked for the lunge of Mollo who suffered a sprained ankle in the incident.
Ayew later explained he had no intention to hurt the on loan Nancy player.
Television replay revealed the Ghana international should have been sent off by referee Said Ennjimi just after the hour mark.
The 23-year-old will appear before Ligue de Professionnel disciplinary committee on Thursday, October 24 2013
If found guilty, Ayew could be slapped with a fine or suspension or both.
