Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has been forced to hand a late call-up to Asante Kotoko versatile midfielder Yahaya Mohammed for the clash with Egypt.
Ghana's injury concerns have soared with five regular players effectively ruled out with injuries.
With Rabiu Mohammed, Isaac Vorsah, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye and Kevin-Prince Boateng all ruled out with injuries, Kwesi Appiah has been forced to hand late call-ups to South African-based Edwin Gyimah and Yahaya Mohammed, whose call-up is somehow long overdue.
Mohammed scored the match winner for Kotoko against Inter Allies on Sunday.
Meanwhile Richard Kingson also suffered an injury and details of his injury would become much clearer.
