Kwesi Appiah happy with Ghana's scoring sources from back to front as eleven different players have contributed to 18 goals so far in the World Cup qualifiers.

As the Black Stars prepare for Tuesday's first leg playoff against Egypt in Kumasi, Appiah is encouraged by the scoring threat posed by his team against the Pharaohs, who have found target 16 times from six matches.

With the exception of Dominic Adiyiah and John Boye who are missing from the list of Ghana's goalscorers for this particular match, Appiah has nine other scorers on his team.

Asamoah Gyan, Majeed Waris, Jordan Ayew, Sulley Muntari, Jerry Akaminko, Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah have all ensured that the Black Stars have recorded a goals for average of 3.0 per game in the qualifiers.

"It's very pleasing to have every player contributing a goal or more. It shows that the Black Stars can get goals from any player, from defence, midfield or attack," Appiah told www.ghanafa.org.

"The group has ability in terms of goal-scoring wise. And that is good for us because we are not reliant on any particular player."

The Black Stars, chasing their third consecutive appearance at the finals must navigate past Egypt over two-legs with the aggregate winner after both legs qualifying for next year's finals in Brazil.

"I am delighted and hope we find many goals in our next match while ensuring our discipline at the back. We have let in three goals though we could have done better.

"But we must keep our balance and improve. We meet a good side but must cause them problems to get what we plan for," he said.
