The former coach of the US is urging his charges to "play with the right mentality; intellectually but with confidence".
Egypt coach Bob Bradley has charged his men to be "smart" during the first-leg World Cup play-off in Ghana on October 15.
He said they have done their home work well and will not be intimidated by the home support the Black Stars will be enjoying.
"We did a lot of work. We studied Ghana well; we respect them, but not too much. We are a good team," Bradley said at a press conference. "We must be smart in Kumasi. We need to play with the right mentality; intellectually but with confidence."
He added: "The players are the ones who deserve all the credit because of their concentration during the group stage [in which Egypt got full marks to top group G]."
The Pharaohs face off with the Black Stars on Tuesday with the second leg scheduled for November 19.
