The Nigeria Football Federation is planning a friendly for the locally-based Super Eagles and their Ghanaian counterparts before the end of the year.
The exhibition match is to prepare the two sides for the 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) slated for South Africa in January.
Reports in Nigeria say the Ghana Football Association is yet to confirm or turn down the request.
The home-based Super Eagles, who will be making their debut in the tournament, are expected to camp in South Africa for two weeks.
Stephen Keshis side were beaten 1-0 by Jordan on Monday 28 October in another friendly.
