Ghana will need to overturn a first-leg deficit in order to reach this years FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup as the Black Princesses went down in Malabo.
The Black Princesses, chasing a third-straight appearance at the World Cup lost 1-0 to Equatorial Guinea in the first-leg of the final round qualifier on Saturday.
The aggregate winner over both legs will qualify for the tournament to be hosted by Canada in August of this year.
For Ghana's opponents, Equatorial Guinea, the home victory offers them hope of reaching their first-ever world finals at this level.
The return leg in Accra will be played in a fortnight's time to determine which of the two teams picks one of the two qualifying slot available to the continent.
