Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng will leave English Premier League side Fulham to join Watford on loan before the closure of the January transfer window, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.
The 30-year-old has completed just 155 minutes of action for Fulham since the start of the season and wants to improve his stats to stand any chance of making the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup.
Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen is ready to allow the former Getafe midfielder leave the club on loan and Watford are in pole position to sign him.
Boateng moved to the Craven Cottage from Ukrainian side FC Dnipro in August but has overly failed to beat competition from experienced duo of Scott Parker and Steve Sidwell.
