The budding Ghanaian winger has stated that playing just behind the striker in the Eredivisie is not a worry to him and will work hard to adapt and integrate at Vitesse.
Ghana international Christian Atsu has stated that he is comfortable playing as a No. 10 at Vitesse Arnheim, despite him being a winger.
The gifted youngster has been employed to play right behind the striker unlike in Portugal where he played on the flanks.
“It wasn't a position I had played in before,” Atsu admitted to Fifa.com. “But things are working out well now. It means I have had to work very hard in the midfield to help out my team, which is something I am getting used to.”
“I've had to work hard but the most important thing for me was to adapt quickly and integrate into the Vitesse Arnheim team,” he said.
Atsu has been one of the stars for the Dutch Eredivisie side this season where he is on loan from Chelsea.
