The coach of the home-based side of Ghana admits Nigeria are a strong team hence it requires good planning “before we can beat them” in today’s semi-final of the CHAN.
Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu has said his immediate priority is to thwart Nigeria from standing in their way to the final of the African Nations Championship.
He said he is focused on beating the Super Eagles in today’s semi-final clash and then the final will come.
"I'm not thinking about the finals,” the former Asante Kotoko coach told the Ghana FA website. “I have never done that and I don't think I will do that now."
"You start thinking about the finals or the trophy and you will lose concentration on the immediate task ahead. Nigeria is not a small country or a small team so we have to plan very, very well before we can beat them. The final is not on my mind now at all. Nigeria is the next team to try to beat."
