Former Asante Kotoko striker Kofi Nti Boakye has terminated his contract with Libyan side Al Ahli just five months into his contract.
Boakye signed a three-year deal with Tripoli-based side in August last year on a free transfer in a controversial move.
He was accused of playing a fast one on Kotoko by refusing a contract extension and going to sign for the North Africa side.
The 26-year-old pocketed US$ 900,000 with the club getting nothing.
The former Liberty Professionals and Heart of Lions striker suffered a lot of backlash for his ‘greedy’ move.
GHANASoccernet.com understands the agent of the player is working hard to secure him a move into the Egyptian league.
