Black Stars head coach Kwasi Appiah has shortlisted 4 coaches to strengthen and beef up his backroom staff for the World Cup, Ghanasportsonline.com can exclusively reveal.
The 53-year-old wants to boost his technical team in every aspect to ensure intensive preparations before and during the World Cup tournament to be hosted in Brazil.
Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm that Kwasi Appiah has written to five Ghanaian technical men to assist him in various fields but their positions are yet to be confirmed.
The coach has stated that he will be contacting and employing people to boost his backroom but stressed that he is not interested in opting for the services of a superior in a technical directorate or advisory role as been speculated.
Kwasi Appiah is also waiting for an approval and confirmation from the Ghana Football Association to start a search for an experienced and qualified team doctor, a physiotherapist and a masseur for the Black Stars.
The four shortlisted coaches are made up of Ghanaians and other European nationals with Kwasi Appiah confirming to our sources that he would mind considering his former boss Milovan Rajevac for a role in his backroom but emphasized that no official contact has been made yet, Ghanasportsonline.com has gathered.
