Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has said the Stars are ready to battle for the AFCON trophy in Equatorial Guinea.
He noted that, although all the nations participating in the tournament are well determined, the Black Stars are “hungry” for the trophy than any other country.
According to him, the Stars will show not respect to their opponents on the pitch of play after qualifying to the next stage of the tourney.
“All countries in the tournament must be respected but we [Black Stars] are not afraid of any country. Now we need to win our remaining matches to see us in the finals,” he told journalists after Ghana’s win over South Africa in the last group stage match.
The Black Stars had to come from behind to win through second half goals from John Boye and Andre Ayew in their 1-2 encounter with Bafana Bafana.
The Stars will meet the Group D runners-up in the quarter-finals but Agyemang-Badu insists that “they are ready to face anyone who comes”
