Ghana Football Association Executive committee member Wilfred Osei Parmah has cautioned the Black Stars over complacency ahead of their AFCON quarterfinals clash with Guinea On Sunday.
The Black Stars scuffle out with the Syli National in contention for a place at the Semi-Finals of this year’s competition.
Ghana are tipped favorites in Sunday’s clash having won two of their last four meetings.
But Parma who doubles as the Chairman of the Ghana U-20 team [Black Satellites] has advised the team to avoid smugness in other to achieve the needed results at the Estadio de Malabo.
“We were in the same group with them in the qualifiers and we drew in Morocco where they adopted as their home ground,” he told Happy fm.
“We even scored first before they equalized. They have been very impressive in the AFCON and we need to be cautious. If we underrate them, we do it at our own peril,”
The Black Stars will be keeping their hopes of winning the AFCON trophy alive should they secure victory over Guinea tomorrow.
