The sporting director of Giallorosi has expressed his desire to sign the Ghanaian left-back this summer.
AS Roma’s director of football Walter Sabatini has openly declared his desire to sign Ghanaian left-back Abdul Baba Rahman from Augsburg in the summer.
Sabatini has identified the 20-year-old as a replacement for former Chelsea player Ashley Cole who is heading to the MLS.
According to Romacalcio, Sabatini’s interest heightened after the Ghana international’s exploit at the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The Giallorossi, however, face stiff challenge from Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid who have all expressed their interest in the versatile defender.
Rahman, who is now valued at 10 million Euros, has provided five assists from open play for Augsburg since his summer move.
