Chelsea forward Diego Costa has been charged by the FA following his controversial incidents on Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Everton, the Sky reports.
The Spain international is being accused of inappropriate conduct after shown the red card for his second booking of the game.
After being sent off for retaliating on Gareth Barry after the Englishman’s challenge on Costa, the 27-year-old refused to leave the pitch immediately and before half-time he showed controversial gestures to the Everton fans.
The FA have decided that Costa’s behaviour deserves an addition to his automatic one-match ban, which the player himself has a chance to stand up against, should the response be made before 6pm this Thursday.
