The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association has sanctioned Accra Hearts of Oak to play their next two home matches behind closed doors, thus reducing the earlier order by the Disciplinary committee from three matches.
The Appeals Committee, however, upheld the ruling of the Disciplinary Committee to fine Hearts of Oak a total of GH¢ 12,000 for the three counts they were charged.
The lasted decision comes after Hearts filed a stay of execution over an earlier chastisement from the Disciplinary Committee.
Hearts were punished following an ill-mannered behavior on the part of their fans who threw bottles an missiles on the pitch during their League game against WA All Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The new development will hence see the Rainbow Club play their next two home matches behind closed doors.
