Several Ghanaian football fans are calling for the sack of Black Stars goalkeeper Razak Brimah over his recent rude comments.
The Cordoba CF goalkeeper has been criticized by section of football fans since joining the Black Stars team.
Brimah, after impressing in Ghana’s victory over DR Congo at the quarterfinals of the Cup of Nations, released a video hitting back at his critics in an unfortunate way by using some abusive and unpleasant words.
Using several unprintable words, the goalie berated his critics and tagged them as “fools” asking them "to go to hell".
Brimah, 29, in the video on Facebook which he has since deleted, took offence at criticisms and leveled against him for his performances at AFCON 2017 by Ghanaians and journalists.
He has however since recanted and also issued a statement on Facebook apologising for his expletive-laden tirade he directed at Ghanaians.
Despite the 28-year-old rendering an apology, supporters and football fans are calling for the Ghana Football Association to suspend the former FC Nania goalkeeper over his recent comments.
The Ghana football Association meanwhile is expected to release a statement on the issue.
Having made his way into the Black Stars team three years ago, the former Guadalajara gloves-man has shot to fame and has eventually grabbed the number one spot in the team.
He featured for the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations when the team got to the finals only to lose to Ivory Coast on penalties.
The goalkeeper is currently with the Black Stars team preparing for the crucial game against Cameroon on Thursday.

I believe that with he apologising to Ghanaians, he should be given the benefit of the doubt. After all, we all make mistakes one way or the other. Those who say that he should be sacked from the national team, don't they do worst things than his in secret? We easily forget the good that people do for us and rather hold on to their mistakes and it's unfair. When he catches ball and prevents them from entering into the pole, people cheer him up but when he made a mistake you have made him look like the worst person on this earth. Ghanaians and journalists must be very careful the way they treat issues. God is watching.
YEs this nonentity should be sacked .Do you think the goal- keeper of the English team will be allowed to man the post for a minute if he decides to insult the whole country?Without football this country will survive. If I had my way all the millions of dollars spent on these people will be invested in education. China has never been to the world cup yet it is one of the important countries in the world. Our leaders are derided and insulted all the time yet they don't throw caution to the wind and insult back. This f001 ought to know that football fans are fickle. They will sing your praises when you do well and denounce you roundly when you don't.The important thing is for him to know that he is a nobody . In 3 years nobody in Ghana will remember him.
sack him
If what I am reading that the GFA has fined goalkeeper Razak Brimah, $2.500 for his insults, I beg to differ. Had Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari fined when they mis-behaved towards Coach Kwasi Appiah and the Black Stars Management Officials in Brazil World Cup tournament? They were SACKED. But Razak Brimah who insulted Ghanaians with words which should not be addressed to Ghanaians is allegedly fined. If these behaviours are not buried in the mud, then more of the "WORST" would follow suit. Teams in Africa and the World in general have no "phobia" for the Black Stars of Ghana anymore. Razak Brimah should be SACKED before the Cameroon match. We have better goal-keepers in the team who are ever ready to defend the flag of Ghana at the AFCON 2017 in Gabon
How can this young goal-keeper insult the whole country Ghana. There are equally or better goalkeepers the country is producing. Thanks to the defenders of the Black Stars Players who defended jealously during sticky situations. How can a goal-keeper who directed his team mates when there was a free kick, yet he conceded long range shot. He is not capable of dealing with long range shots. Thanks again to the defenders otherwise, we would have gone home long ago. he should be sacked as was done to Prince Kelvin Boateng and Sulley Muntari who mis-behaved toward Coach Kwasi Appiah and the Black Stars Management. But Razak Brimah case was directed to Ghanaians in totality He must GO to his base in Spain, period.
sack him like the way we did to kelvin Boateng
This guy is just like farmer instead of a goalkeeper. How can this ***barred word*** rud gud term us to be "***barred word***?" The football Association should sack him.
Those who don't want to watch the Black Stars play are at liberty to put off their TV sets during the match. They will be the first to blame the coach, the players, the GFA and even the President if the team loses. But they sit in their arm chairs and talk as if they are coaches. They single out players and insult them including their mothers, fathers and their relations who have nothing to do with football. Yes, they can go to hell. And for their information, nobody will sack Razak from the team to satisfy them.
Razak dont listern to anybody, just concentrate because the cameroonians are using juju in some way through your speech and your own people to create confusion and disorganise you,but it wont work.we are praying for you and the entire team to bring the cup to Ghana.
That goal keeper is a ***barred word*** big time. am always not confortable when he is in the post of the black stars bcos any time Ghana is under pressure as a fan u are not comfortable. just look at the goal he considered against DR congo. in fact he is a ***barred word*** goal keeper
