West Ham United record-signing Andre Ayew says he is not far from getting to his best after recovering an earlier injury setback.
Ayew, who was purchased for £20.6m in the summer from Swansea, suffered a thigh injury in their league opener against Chelsea.
He came back before the turn of the year and went to Gabon to play for Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ayew has been showing signs for his former self after getting in some goals for the Hammers.
"I think I’m getting there," he observed. "I have said it before, I’m getting there. I know my quality and I’m working hard and my teammates are giving me a lot of confidence. They have a lot of trust in me.
"I am trying to do my best at the moment."
