Black Starlets Coach Paa Fabin remains cautious ahead of tomorrow’s Group clash against Gabon at the Africa U17 Championship.
Ghana will be hoping to confirm a place at the semi-finals and also seal qualification to the World Cup with a win over the host Nation.
The Black Starlets are poised after a remarkable 4-0 drubbing over Cameroon in their opening game.
Paa Kwesi Fabin will not underrate Gabon who suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Guinea in their opening group game.
“We are not going to relax our game against Gabon simply because they lost to Guinea in the opening match of the competition,” Fabin told CAFOnline.com.
“Rather, we are going to display the same attitude and alertness as we did against Cameroon because Gabon is not going to be a cheap team; and we are not going to underrate them,” he emphasized.
“Of course, our speed on the ball and technique is our trump card but football is about being pragmatic; we have prepared the players for all kind of eventualities on the field.
“Football is not only about winning and we have shown them all kind of possibilities and luckily for us, we lost.”
Ghana is chasing a third Africa U17 Nations Cup title after losing out in the finals back in 2005.
