Former Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko has told GHANAsoccernet.com he is in the dark over reports linking him with the Hearts of Oak coaching job.
Circling media reports claimed on Monday that the Local Black Stars gaffer has agreed to replace under-fire Edward Nii Odoom.
The reports further suggest that he will work with former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah after holding talks with majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV.
But the former Black Stars assistant coach has told Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com that the reports are wide off the mark.
"I am completely in the dark over what I am hearing. I have not had any discussion with Hearts and so please disregard it," he told GHANAsoccernet.com on Monday morning.
"I have not even seen Stephen (Appiah) for a long time to talk about holding meetings to take over.
"There is no iota of truth in it and so must be disregarded.
Tanko want to fully focus on his national team duty after being handed the Black Stars -B job on a permanent basis.
