Ghanaian footballing icon Michael Essien is in hot waters. Social media folks are smashing him for the quick u-turn he made yesterday,
Essien shared on his Instagram page how much he and Ghanaians support the LGBTQI+ community.
We woke today and the post is nowhere to be found.
The post has been deleted and Essien has not given us any reason why he did that.
However, following his open support for the LGBTQI+ community, he lost a reasonable number of followers on his Instagram, over 500,000, and people have assumed that is the reason why he decided to delete the post.
It looks like Essien could not stand not just losing his fans but equally could not stand the hate comments as well.
