Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are by far the leading cause of death and the world�s number one killer. They account for over 36 million deaths annually, with nearly 80 per cent of the deaths occurring in low and middle-income countries, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO report. More than nine million of all NCD deaths occur before the age of 60.
