In recent weeks, there have been suggestions by government spokespersons that the current problems of the economy, especially the rising inflation and the depreciation of the cedi, are traceable to the redenomination of the cedi by the Bank of Ghana in 2007, and that the Bank should consider re-introducing the zeros back in our currency.
