Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Deputy Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament and Member of the ECOWAS Parliament has disclosed that member-countries of the regional economic body are currently confronted with an unprecedented food crisis that has rendered some 17 million people in need of immediate assistance and an additional 51 million persons including women and children, under pressure.
