Woyome's Lawyer Slams 'NPP Press' For Twisting Waterville Facts

A Lawyer for troubled businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, has expressed shock at what he describes as the deliberate attempt by some NPP press to twist the explanations by Waterville holdings... ...over their role in the matter that resulted in the nation paying 51 million Ghana cedis as judgment debt to their client. David Annan in an interview with XYZ News, said some media houses appear bent on painting their client black despite his vindication by the Waterville news conference held on Monday. David Annan said we take great offence at the deliberate and constant attempt to impugn the integrity of Alfred Woyome even when Waterville has come out and cleared the air". He added that you find the NPP press twisting the clear indication by Waterville that there were two separate transactions and that Mr Woyomes is not part of them. They [NPP Press] have turned that into saying that Mr Woyome has been disowned by Waterville when that is the direct opposite of the case. Meanwhile, Aides to embattled businessman Alfred Woyome, say recent comments by Waterville, the company that was contracted to renovate some stadia for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2008, vindicates their boss. Waterville, led by its CEO Andre Orlandi, stated that the company acted appropriately in demanding compensation for the termination of its contract with government. The company also stated that Mr. Woyome acted independently in the demand for the payment of the 51 million judgment debt paid to him and had nothing to do with Waterville. Kwame Tawiah, an aide to the NDC financier in an interview with XYZ News, said the comments by Waterville rather portray Mr. Woyome as truthful to his claims since the news of the judgment debt broke. The chips are falling into place and the chickens are coming home to roost and the truth in this whole matter will play out.
