It was all joy when Kofi Asamoah, a 34 year old mason and a resident of Ntinanko a town near Antoa Krom in the Amansie West District of Ashanti successfully tied the marital knot with his sweet heart Madam Akua Brago a petty trader at the Kokobi Christina Church recently.
Unfortunately, that joyous mood was short lived as the bridegroom reportedly passed away that same day. That untimely death has shocked the entire community and its environs.
In an interview with Kwame Owusu, a brother of the deceased, he noted that although his brother and the wife had been together for the past five years they have been praying for the appropriate time for their marriage to be blessed at the church.
Thus the well attended wedding ceremony finally came off on the 9th of March 2012 at the Kotobi Christian church after which the couple went home and subsequently retired to bed later in the night.
P&P gathered that after five hours of sleep, the wife woke up only to realize that her husband was motionless. Her shouts attracted other neighbors but it was too late to save Asamoah as he was pronounced dead.
