Dont Underrate Others-Archbishop Nketsiah

Most Rev. Matthias K. Nketsiah, Archbishop of Cape Coast, has urged Christians not to underrate anyone, rich or poor. He said God, the Creator of man had endowed everybody with special potentials that were useful for societys development, saying that it was an unhealthy practice to look down on others. Archbishop Nketsiah, who is also the Apostolic Administrator of the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, said these in a homily at a Mass to climax his first Pastoral visit to Tarkwa St. Matthews Parish. He said since human beings were interdependent on each other, it behooved them especially Christians to respect one another. The Archbishop charged the faithful to spread the Gospel, eschew bribery, envy and lead exemplary lives. He urged Catholics not to feel shy in exhibiting their Catholic faith every where they found themselves, and asked them to pray for Gods guidance in all their endeavors. Mr. M.A.N Cudjoe and Mrs. Yirenkyi, Chairman and Vice Chairperson of the Parish Pastoral Council on behalf of the Church, presented a Chasuble, a ram and an undisclosed amount of money to the Archbishop. Archbishop Nketsiah thanked the Church for the gesture and expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic welcome given him.
