Curfew In Kpatinga As Yendi Youth Rampage

A curfew has been imposed in Kpatinga in the Northern region of Ghana following the disturbances that characterised the arrest of the Kpatinga-Naa, Naatogmah Ziblim, on Tuesday. The chief was enskinned on Monday by the Regent of the Abudus, Boling-Lana Abdulai Mahamadu. The development did not go down well with the Andanis who felt the Dagbon Road Map for Peace was being grossly violated and had to install a parallel ruler. Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Tuesday, the Northern Regional Minister, Moses Mabengba, said the curfew was imposed as a result of the double enskinment of the two chiefs of Kpatinga. Hon. Mabengba, who is the chairman of the Regional Security Council, said the Interior Ministry sanctioned the curfew to restore law and order. He said a contingent of police is in the village to maintain peace.
