The head of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, George Smith Graham has told XYZ News that the President of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Kwabena Adusei Poku is misleading his colleague doctors with his constant condemnation of government over the Single Spine Salary Structure. Dr. Adusei Poku on Breakfast XYZ said the salaries of his colleague doctors have been characterized by serious anomalies and distortion and wonders why constantly the challenges of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission in relation to the new pay policy had been negative. Dr. Adusei Poku said it appears nothing is being done by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to address the challenges of the Single Spine Salary Structure. �We are still discussing implementation issues, when we agree on modalities, they are not implemented, when we agree on A when the salary comes it is B or B minus that is why we are saying it is deliberate� Dr Poku said. He added that �it is not the process; it is a deliberate action of people who are incompetent, very incompetent people who have been put at the helm of affairs�. But the CEO of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, George Smith Graham says he is muffled by the claims of Dr. Adusei Poku and downplayed his agitation. He insists that his outfit has performed well and continues to play its role in ensuring Ghanaian workers get what is due them.
