Do Not Succumb To Provocation - Joyce Aryee Tells Political Parties

Former Chief Executive officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Joyce Aryee is pleading with Ghanaians to exercise maximum restraint in this electioneering period. Madam Aryee, who was a member of National Defence Council among other public office positions she held, made this comment in view of the violence associated with political activities ahead of the 2012 elections. She told Citi News the skirmishes that have characterized the ongoing biometric voter registration exercise could be avoided. She said Even when we are provoked we should take a decision not to respond in equal anger. We must step aside and deal with the situation later. Miss Aryee said the desire for peace should far outweigh any kind of provocation. Being in a situation where all political parties are angry will not solve the problem, she stated.
