Mr. Atta Akyea, one of the lawyers for embattled Assin North MP, Kennedy Agyapong has denied media reports that he is fighting a colleague lawyer, Nii Ayikoi Otu, over who has the right to speak for their client.
The two lawyers jointly defended Mr. Agyapong in court over his comments believed to be inciting Ashantis against Gas and Ewes.
Speaking to XYZ News, Lawyer Atta Akyea said he has enormous respect for his senior colleague, Nii Ayikoi Otu, and will not engage him on such a trivial issue.
�I don�t think that there is any problem between me and honourable Nii Ayikoi Otu and nobody should make a problem out of it� Mr Atta Akyea said.
He added that �Ayikoi Otu is a senior lawyer and he can take a commanding lead in terms of how we conduct affairs for Kennedy Agyapong. I will serve very well and if he instructs to do anything I will do it.
�There is no turf war and we have the best of relations�.
