3 Dead, Many Injured In Yamoransa Accident

Three lives were lost in an accident on Sunday morning when a Yutong bus carrying a fan club from Kumasi-Tafo Maakro to Cape Coast for an excursion, collided with a parked tipper truck at the Yamoransa junction near Cape-Coast. The number of deaths was confimed by the Central regional MTTU Commander, Superintendent Paul Aduhene. More than 50 people are said to have sustained several degrees of injuries. One of the victims, Agya Sei told XYZ News the driver of the bus carrying about 90 people must have lost control of the steering wheel. This he said resulted in the bus somersaulting several times. According to Agya Sei, they were going for an excursion at the Kakum National Park in Cape Coast when the sad event occurred. The bus is said to have taken off from Kumasi at 1:30 am but on reaching the Yamoransa Junction, the driver lost control of the bus. The bus then somersaulted and hit the parked tipper trucked. Agya Sei told XYZ News apart from the those who died, many of the passengers who got injured with some broken limbs were rushed to the hospital in batches.
