The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has received commendation from the Member of Parliament for Kpone- Katamanso who also doubles as the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Nii Laryea Afortey-Agbo for the numerous projects executed in the metropolis.
The commendation came when the minister together with the AMA Boss, Dr. Alfred Oko Vandapuye toured the metropolis to inspect some of the ongoing and completed projects in the metropolis.
Some of the projects include 18 newly completed classroom blocks and other ancillary facilities such as science laboratories, libraries as part of its measures to eliminate school under trees and shift systems.
The rest include 28 kilometer of road, construction of Kantamanto market drains to prevent flooding among others.
The Minister who commissioned some of the finished projects expressed satisfaction for the actual work done, adding that the implementations were steps to achieving the NDC�s �Better Ghana� Agenda. He was however hopeful the AMA will ensure more of such projects to achieve their objective of changing Accra into a millennium city.
He finally called on all the residents to team-up with the assembly in realizing their dream and pledged to the support them in all endeavors.
