Tema Youth CEO To Drag Tony Yeboah To Ethics Co. Over Baffour Comments

Ghana FA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei Parma wants ex national star Tony Yeboah hurled before the Ethics Committee for comments made over New Edubiase striker Emmanuel Baffour. Yeboah told Kumasi-based Angel FM the Premier League top scorers performance is being aided by referee decisions. And Parma wo doubles as the Chief Executive Sporting Director of Tema Youth says the Ghanaian legends comment is totally out of place warranting a hearing at the Ethics Committee. Tony Yeboah is one of the ex national team players I have a lot of respect for for his performance on the field of play hence my disappointment in his statement, he told Accra-based Asempa FM. And for him to set up a club after his playing career (Yegoala FC) means he has confidence in the system that produced him in the first place. If he said Baffour was being over-hyped and that he is yet to realize his full potential I would have no qualms with that. But to go to the extent of impuning on the boys integrity by suggesting the system is corrupt with referees aiding his goal scoring exploits for me is not right. I think it will be proper for him to be invited to the Ethics Committee to prove his statement otherwise he should be made to retract. Osei added he will be willing to table the motion before the Ethics Committee by virtue of his position as an Ex.Co member. Yes, he replied. I will also urge RAG (Referees Association of Ghana) to take up the mattr because the whoe body has been drawn into this controvercy. Baffour is just one goal shy of equaling a ten-year record of ex Hearts of Oak striker Ishmael Addo who scored 22 goals in the 2001/02 season.
