Some youth in Ashaiman have petitioned government over the intended development of a community land by their Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE) Nii Adinortey Addison. According to them, the MCE had lobbied for the land to put up a property in the name of the Assembly. The youth have therefore vowed to resist any attempt by Mr Adinortey Addison to develop the land. Yusif Hamidu Gariba, the assembly man for Nii Doku electoral area in the Ashaiman munipality in an interview with XYZ News said the youth have vowed to do anything possible to prevent the MCE from taking over the land. He added that the Muslims in the area also use the land for their daily prayers. �We the muslims, we normally pray on it and we have an Arabic and English school on it but this Chief Executive lobbied and the land was sold to him. �The land is not for him but for the Ashaiman Munipal Assembly that is why the youth are saying that will not allow him to build his project� Mr Gariba said. But, the Ashaiman MCE has denied ownership of the intended projects. He told XYZ News that the assembly is acquiring the land for some GETFUND projects
