Ghana FA To Honour Ghanaian Legendary Coach Attuquayefio

Renowned Ghanaian coach Jones Attuquayfio will be honoured by the Ghana Football Association, President Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed. An exhibition game between the Black Stars and friends of the veteran coach will take place on the 24th of June at the Accra Sports stadium to celebrate the man who guided Hearts of Oak to their first Caf Champions League title in 2000. The former African coach of the year has been out of coaching for the past two years due to a throat cancer illness. The proceeds from the gate would be donated to the Ghanaian trainer. The time has come for us to award our heroes who sacrificed a lot for the nation, Nyantakyi said Jones has achieved so much for Ghana football, winning African titles with Hearts and coaching virtually all of the national teams and unearthing lots of talents. We must do something now to honour this illustrious son of the land, Attuquayfio was coach of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals before being taken ill.
