Second-tier side Okwahu United could be sanctioned by the Ghana Federation for failing to control their fans during a Division One League match against Danbort FC. Danbort FC have officially reported the conduct of Okwahu to the Federation after they were allegedly subjected to beatings by irate supporters. The capital-based side wants the former Premier League side to be severely punished for failing to control their fans. I have never seen anything like this before. Their fans pelted us with stones and at the point we thought our lives had come to an end, Danbort coach Frank Adjei said. We were in the inner perimeter and all we saw was an attack by way of water sachet containing certain substances been thrown at us. We reported to the match commissioner but there was nothing he could do at that moment. E have an official complaint at the FA and hopefully they will look into it and punish them accordingly. United recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over their opponent which was their first this campaign but still within a touching distance of qualifying to the promotional play-offs.
