The recent stormy rains in Accra has claimed the lives of a 23 year old mother and her two months old child and left another with severe injuries. Veronica Bossman and her two-month old baby, Caleb, lost their lives when the room they were sleeping in collapsed on them. Godfather of the deceased, Osei Assibey narrating the incidence to Xfm 95.1 said the young woman�s husband had called Veronica�s mother shortly after the rains had started to say the room had collapsed on them. �Immediately, we rushed to the scene and started shouting for help. I saw the block house had collapsed on them. A very big tree had fallen on the house which eventually fell on them. I saw some blocks and a big branch on my daughter and grand-child. I cleared the big blocks off them, but she had died then�. Bodies of both mum and child have been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue in Accra. A distraught Rebecca Awuni, mother of the deceased called on the benevolent people to come to their aid. She said, �I don�t have anything to say. I live everything to God who knows all things. I�ll plead that anybody who can should help me give my child and grandchild a befitting burial�.
