I Went Back To An Ex-girlfriend...It Didnt Work Out - Chelsea Boss

ROBERTO DI MATTEO could win the Champions League... and be out of a job next week. The interim Chelsea manager is being linked with a possible return to his old club Lazio. But Di Matteo insists he has no idea what the future holds after Saturdays final against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena. Should owner Roman Abramovich replace Di Matteo, you can count on one thing for sure he will not go back to West Brom. SunSport asked Di Matteo if he might be interested in the vacant job at The Hawthorns where he won promotion before being sacked. Di Matteos responded: In my life Ive gone back to an ex-girlfriend and it didnt work out. Im not sure whether its the right move. It was a rare moment of levity where Di Matteo let down his guard. He has given nothing away since taking over from axed Andre Villas-Boas and views every question as a ticking bomb. However, he clearly believes that if he won the Champions League to go with the FA Cup, he should be in for bigger jobs than the Baggies. Di Matteo added: You never know whats around the corner in life. Its difficult to make plans when youre a coach, youre depending on results.
