Emmanuel Agyemang Badu Hails Quality Of Ghana Premier League

Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has expressed delight with the standard of the Ghana Premier League. The former Berekum Arsenal and Asante Kotoko star claims level of competition can match the other leagues in the world. The Ghana international believes the local league has seen tremendous improvement over the past two years. "I'm really surprised with the level that the Ghanaian league has reached within the last couple of years because we all played in it and we can say certain things for a fact," Badu told a local radio station. "There's still a match to go and you have two or three teams who still do not know their fate. "Apart from that, with the kind of games I watched this weekend I can say the level is very very high like the other top leagues in the world." He added that: "It is not surprising that we have lot players from the local league in the various national teams now.'' Badu has been named in Ghana's 30-man squad which begins preparations on Monday for next month's double-header against Lesotho and Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
