Ayew Report For Black Stars Training

Sports News of Wednesday, 23 May 2012Source: � France-based duo Jordan Ayew and Rabiu Mohammed were the new faces at the Black Stars training ground on Wednesday. The two players were in action for Olympique Marseille and Evian TG respectively last Sunday in the final round of matches in the French Ligue 1. This increases the number of players in the Ghana camp to 23 ahead of double header against Lesotho and Zambia in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Ayew was a member of the Ghana squad which finished fourth at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. He is tipped to lead the lines against Lesotho on June 1 at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday. Mohammed, a creative midfielder, made 25 appearances for the Evian side which finished ninth on their debut season. Seven players are expected before the close of the week to complete the pack of 30 players invited.
